Recruiting Issues

 I know these past few months have been difficult for us as leaders, we've been struggling with the issues of so many items out of stock and when we have had new team members, many have become disheartened very quickly when they've got maybe a $2-$300 order, from their new customers, only to find 1/2 of them unavailable, and then, not only losing commission they had expected but also having to deal with customer frustrations as well. It's been very hard on them, and many have given up purely because of it. AVON is working hard to resolve these issues, as we know, so what I'm doing is just staying friendly with these team members, even if they are not actively doing anything with their business right now, and I plan on letting them know when everything is back to rights, and then suggesting they give it another try. Some may do so, others may have decided already that they are done with it. Stay friendly anyway, they may not sell again but they may (in time) buy from you.

We will weather this storm as we have many others in the past. Stay strong!



Campaign 4 Kudos

Campaign 4 ended with us having a pretty solid $2160.52 in group sales, a little shy of Campaign 3's total (just under $200) but still above the $2000, so we are staying pretty consistent now, again, and as AVON gets the issues resolved regarding out of stock items, I'm sure we'll be looking at healthier numbers in a couple of months.  I think they expect to have everything running normally sometime in July, as that seems to be the last "expected by" date on many of the out of stock products. Also, during the 2024 Kick Off they had said that they expected to have everything sorted within a few months, so stay positive. Having a full brochure of products available, for our customers, is only a few months away. I know it's been very frustrating having the shortages, and has played havoc with our businesses in lost sales, but thank you all for hanging in there. This will pass and we will be able to get back on track again, and earning decent commission once more.

This was yesterday's upload and will help us understand more about some of our skin care products and the importance of each in a routine. The more we know, the better we are able to help our customers.


Also, make sure to check out the Campaign Connection videos at the beginning of each campaign so that you can decide which products you can recommend and be able to explain why to your customers.

The more you know, the better prepared you'll be for customer questions and ultimately, that will translate to $$$ in your pocket.

Something I have noticed, this morning, is that the Promotion Tool has disappeared from under the Marketing Tab. I'm sorry to see this go as I used it every campaign to schedule offers for free gifts with orders or discounts, to show my appreciation to customers. I always recommended using it but I wonder if a lot of reps didn't and that's why AVON has done away with it. I'm disappointed as I know it helped me get a lot of online sales, and my customers felt that I cared about giving them more value for their money. Just sad to see it go!

I cannot say it often enough, how proud I am of our tea, and how thankful I am of you all. Some of you have been with me for many years now and have weathered the storms of different takeovers, different ideas on what we can and can't do with our businesses, from managers and in-person get-togethers each month, to virtual "meetings", and we've made it through each time and remained consistent. The supply chain issues have been the most difficult, I think, as they have really made it difficult for us to stay positive whilst we've experienced not only our own disappointment but customer frustrations also, and I know some of you have taken those customer reactions personally. For that, I am so sorry. Try not to (and I know that's easier said than done) but it actually is a compliment, in that - to them - YOU are AVON. It means you have effectively branded yourself. I've found that letting customers know what's going on, apologizing for the situation and admitting my own frustrations with it, have helped my customers to understand the situation better and thus react to me with more tolerance.

Campaign 3 Kudos

It barely seems like we are over Christmas, and yet, now Valentine's Day has come and gone! WOW. The older I get, the faster time passes, I swear! 

Our Campaign 3 sales were slightly below Campaign 2's but that's ok, we stayed fairly stable at $2359.46, which is good. The level we are at, at the moment, is between $2000 and $4000. We're trying to inch our way back up into the $4000s, and it will come. We are a long way from the $14000s of a couple of years ago, but we all know the struggles that have factored into that, so stay positive, keep on keeping on, set your goals and plan on how to accomplish them. AVON's supply issues should be easing over the next few months (per the Kick Off) and I hope our businesses will take an upturn again, at that point.

Meanwhile, we'll celebrate our small successes and keep plodding.

I know I mention it every time, but one of the best tools we have is the online brochure - share it by email, by text, and on all your social media posts. Share your sweepstakes links as well (especially on social media and with non-customers, as when they fill out the forms to enter, they'll link to you as a customer!)

Another favourite tool of mine, is the Promotions Tool under Manage Business and then under Marketing. I go in every first Wednesday of the new campaign and set up my promotions for the 2 weeks. They get sent out to all your opted in customers.

where the Xs are the ending of your store url. Customers who attend get special offers and codes for free gift sets with certain size orders. It's been shown that customers shopping on the live events spend more per order, so it's a neat way to encourage higher sales from your customers without stating that! There's one coming up today. If they miss the original they can always catch the rerun, and they can benefit from the offers the following day as well.

Campaign 2 Kudos

For our 2nd campaign of 2024, we sold a total of $2411.28 which was a bump of $446.62 over our Campaign 1 total, we are off to a good start this year! Hopefully we will continue to rise and find our name back on the Leaderboards again.
