Christmas is coming!

This is my favourite time of the year, I just love everything about Christmas. The whole shebang. The remembrance of the birth of Christ, Christmas carols and songs, Christmas movies, Father Christmas, Christmas light displays, decorated trees, I love them all. I've been playing carols and Christmas songs on my car radio now for quite a few weeks.

Christmas is also a time when I take stock of the current year, accomplishments, failures and all the bumps in the road, and try to figure out how I can avoid the latter two in the upcoming year.

Along with my usual, there are a lot of changes coming to AVON, and a whole slew of new products as well. Our being acquired by LG has really opened up a lot of doors, resulting in AVON partnering with some of the best brands in the world. 

Coming soon we have Belif, which has proved a favourite at Sephora, and which we will now be able to offer through AVON.

We are getting more CHI Hair Care products ... and having seen the wonderful hair on the recent Miss Universe contest, you can see why CHI is world-renowned. We began with just 4 products but are going to be adding a range of colour ones also. The kits come in 12 shades and include not just the colour and developed but a also CHI Essentials shampoo, conditioner and serum! It's exciting!

We are also getting Elastine Propoli Thera hair care - made from Propolis, Honey and Royal Jelly which is free of sulfates and parabens, and leaves hair healthy and shining. There will be a hair mask, volumizing shampoo and conditioner, and a hair oil serum coming in Campaign 4, along with damage repair shampoo and conditioner.

Anew Ultimate Supreme Dual Elixir

One of my skin care favourites is the Anew Ultimate Supreme Dual Elixir. It is Super-moisturizing, and although wonderful for all ages, for those of us with quite a few decades behind us, it helps put a hold on Father Time. What is the Anew Vitamin C Antoxidant Lip Treatment?

First of all, let me say that I am not a lipstick wearer, but I LOVE that this comes in a  lipstick-style push up case, and is easy to carry with you wherever you go. It's the same size as a lipstick so easily fits in a pocket of purse, central console of a vehicle, or even the glovebox.

Let's talk AVON's new skin care collaborations

You all know I LOVE my Anew skin care, but I am still VERY excited about the new skin care products coming to AVON because of our collaborations with The Face Shop, The Therapy and Dr Belmeur.

One of my new favourites is definitely the Dr Belmeur

which has a very rich composition. The Cica Hydro Cream is the lighter of the two, and offers instant hydration with a very light "non-fragrance" fragrance that is suitable for sensitive skin.

The Cica Recovery Cream is thicker and is geared towards extra dry or damaged skin ... I use it for my neck and decolletage areas, as they are an issue for many women my age.

It has a similar "non fragrance" smell to it, and although able to be used for day or night, my personal opinion is that it is probably too heavy for most people for daytime use. It is reminiscent, in "feel", to the cold cream that I used for cleansing way back in my teens and twenties.

It has been shown to help soothe eczema for sufferers, making it another useful addition for people dealing with that.

I, personally, love this. It has a very luxurious feel and absorbs nicely into my skin overnight, leaving it super-moisturized, very soft and smooth to the touch.
