So much hype about Campaign 19, so what's going on? What has AVON done that's new? Well, instead of using models throughout the brochure they've used current AVON representatives for everything from modelling fashions and jewelry to giving their take on products and, of course, what AVON's done for them. 

I really was quite impressed!

Let's Talk Kids Multivitamins

Well, I woke up this morning ...

It was 4am, and I woke up and could not get back to sleep. My mind was going nineteen to the dozen, thinking of all kinds of things, from today's "to do" list, to self improvement, and business plans. So much that my brain was whirring away on.

For starters, AVON's Rep Fest 2019, in New Orleans.

With all my health issues, I've had to curtail my wanderlust somewhat. Where once a road trip across the US was an exciting prospect, now, even the thought of driving on the interstate is terrifying. My BP soars and my A-Fib spawns a panic attack, so I have limited myself to only driving locally, and staying on back roads.

On Tuesday, I took a huge leap of faith, and signed up to attend RepFest 2019 ... in New Orleans.

I cannot face the road trip, I am definitely aware of that, but am hoping that the sights I'll be busy watching, will make a train ride do-able. I'll have all my meds with me, and plan on learning some other calming mediums between now and next August, so I am looking on it with more positivity and less trepidation.

I was also thinking of my social media interactions, and things that I want to change about some of them, particularly in reference to my business page and my groups, on Facebook. I have to teach my old dog brain some new tricks!

I still have a myriad of ideas whirling around in my head, I need to get them organized and begin putting them into practice.

One of the things that I need to become comfortable with, is the camera. I have always hated having my picture taken. Now, with mediums like Facebook Live and Zoom meetings, I need to overcome that and become comfortable with them as communication tools. I know it won't be easy, but I shall try again (for the umpteenth time) to work through my discomfort and work them into my activities.

So many thoughts, so many things to do!

Life is a journey.

Being a "Beauty Boss" (as they say) is yet another journey.

Sometimes they overlap.

I'm on that journey

I'm having an awesome fired up day!

Today is one of those days that leave me feeling quite satisfied with myself. I've spent time listening to motivational tapes and learning some new ideas, made some plans and have been fired up all morning for things I am hoping to achieve in the next few weeks.

So much to do!!

I made a decision that will take me FAR out of my comfort zone, I am going to RepFest next year, August 2-4, in New Orleans. Years ago, this would have just been an exciting trip. With my health the way it is, it is going to be a major event.

The train journey from Greenville to New Orleans is 15 hours, by itself. I used to love travelling. Now I am trying to think ahead to counter any health "what-if?s" that may arise. My blood pressure and my a-fib, are my two major concerns. I will be armed with my medications and plenty of bp appeasing snacks, to help me through.

I worry about the expanse of where I'll need to be getting around too, when I get there. I doubt that I could take my ridearound on board an Amtrak train, so it will just be me and my rollator. I hope we will be worthy to the task.

As soon as everything is confirmed, I'll have to contact the hotel to ensure that our room is on one of the lowest 3 floors, as I don't do heights or elevators well, so a major concern with both the bp and heart rate. Plus, I'm hoping they can accommodate some kind of plastic chair that I can use in the shower, since I have to sit, I am no longer able to stand to take one.

So many things to think of, and not the least, the everyday what to wear and what to take with!

I am excited though.

The 3rd is also my wedding anniversary, so hubby and I may even decide to stay an extra day or so and visit some of the local places to see. There is a war museum fairly close by, and we both enjoy history.

That's all a year away though - this month I have plans.

In November, one of my ladies and I have an event at a local Senior Center, and I am already prepping for that. I want it to be fun for folks who come by, so have a stash of mascara wands so that folks can try our newest mascaras, and applicators so that they can enjoy experiencing Anew skin care. For health oriented visitors, I'm making up packs of our Espira booklet, along with samples of 3 of our most popular Espira products.

I also want to make up a tri-fold display about the history of AVON so that people get a real feel for how AVON came about and what it has achieved over the years.

Today though, I have calls to make and more listening to do, more reading, and hoping to stay engaged as I work towards my goals (my brain tries to go off on a tangent sometimes).
