Dads Special Day Is Coming Up

Do NOT Forget Your Decolletage

We moisturize our face and yet photos of even the "rich and famous" show that many forget to include the neck and decolletage area in their skin care routine. Nothing ruins a pretty face more than a scruffy neck and wrinkly chest area. You see paparazzi pics of older actresses and singers, their faces looking much younger than their years, but their necks and upper chest are dry and saggy, and it's sad because proper moisturizing can prevent or alleviate that.

AVON has a wonderful variety of Anew skin care products to alleviate most issues.

I moisturize my decolletage area (upper chest/shoulders) and neck 3 ways.

For starters, I use AVON's Skin So Soft Oil-Infused Foaming Body Wash, in the shower. That is my base for everything else, as it moisturizes as I wash.

I "mess with" my body lotion, and actually mix my own using my fave AVON products. I use about 1/2 bottle of lotion (usually one of our Senses range in my favourite fragrance at the time), about 2 teaspoonfuls of out Vitamin C serum, and 1/2 tube Skin So Soft Gelled Body Oil. I still prefer the original scent.  Then I add a few squirts of my fave fragrance, and shake everything up well. I slather this lotion on my arms and decolletage area for my "step 2".

When I moisturize my face, I again mix products. Usually 3 pumps of the Anew Ultimate Dual Elixir, 3 pumps Anew Hydra Fusion Replenishing System and 1 pump of Vitamin C. I blend these in the palm of my hand, and then use one finger to dab the first applications around the sides of my eyes (where my wrinkles start), above my lip and down my jowl line. Then I use 3 fingers to apply to my cheeks, chin and forehead, and massage it well in.

Finally, I rub my hand together, ensuring my fingertips are covered, and I massage the remainder into my neck, shoulders and chest area.

It sounds like a lot but it's actually a less-than-5-minutes routine, and very easy to do.

A saggy neck and wrinkly decolletage can age you far more than years. Those who have enjoyed sun-worshipping, in their youth, may develop this long before their age decrees it. Prevention is best but previous damage can be alleviated, over time. They key is to begin a super-moisturizing plan and keep to it.

The choice is yours. You have the power to alleviate most types of age damage. It's never too early to start moisturizing your neck and decolletage area. Once the damage is done, it is harder to repair but with a proper skin care routine, many effects can be somewhat minimized. Prevention is def better than cure though
