Good morning, on this last day of March. It's overcast here but that's ok, I have lots of work to be doing online today and I can still enjoy the cool air that's coming in my open windows. I'm making the most of the hours left, as time is one of those commodities that you can't put away and bring out another time.

My Campaign 8 order has been placed, I'll post some ads on Facebook and Google+ later for a couple of online specials that people can take advantage of until midnight tomorrow, but then Saturday begins Campaign 9 on my website. New goals to make and strive for! It's fun challenging myself. It's also fun seeing my team members do the same, and their excitement at their successes. I LOVE seeing them proud of their achievements.

This morning my granddaughter, Jel, had her ((possibly final) ob/gyn appointment as my great-granddaughter Sammi is due to arrive Monday apparently. Nicolette went with her today, to help with my great-grandson, Daniel, during Jel's appointment and just to hang out together. Nicolette has been moving her things out slowly and into her new apartment, and is so excited.

I am proud of both of them.

My grandson up in New York, Dylan, found out yesterday that he is now an AWS Certified Welder so I am well proud of him also.

Well, I have plenty to do so need to get started. Enjoy your day!

So, today I found out that I had earned an incentive recently! I do love challenging myself to achieve things.

Don't get me wrong, I have a positive attitude for the most part, but sometimes being disabled messes with your head a bit. Going from a pretty lifelong Miss Independent to a now pretty-much-permanent Miss Dependent-On-Others can knock you sideways. Challenging myself to achieve AVON incentives and awards is one of the ways I use to repair my damaged self-esteem and prove my own worthiness to myself! Nobody WANTS to be disabled, and we all have to find our own way through the maze of emotions that becoming so, creates.

AVON has been my lifesaver. Achieving AVON incentives, challenging myself against myself in many cases, helps me maintain my mainly positive outlook on life. I have occasional pity parties, but usually they are geared toward an immediate frustration (like not being able to get the 2nd foot into the leg of my pants when getting dressed, for instance) and they usually last maybe a couple of minutes, then I get myself together, dust myself off, and just get on with doing what I need to do.

This incentive was in Campaigns 4-6 and it was for growing my team with 3 new AVON reps ... my reward ... an extra $100 bonus. YAY me!

Then, having previously stated that I challenge myself against myself, there is, however, an element of accomplishment and pride when I achieve incentives that others - with no impairments to their being able to do so - don't. It further validates me, that I am doing well, that I am NOT lazy, that I am working my business in the best ways that I can!

I DO try to use my disability as an asset, as an encouragement to others. A "look! See you can do this too, because I did this lying in my bed most of the day!" I can also give them ideas for working around issues that they may be dealing with, if nothing else, necessity has always been the mother of invention, and my AVON career these past couple of years has been filled with outside-the-box ideas and ways to get things accomplished.

Today has been a good day, in more ways than one.

My granddaughter is continuing her moving out, and is excited at the prospect of sharing an apartment with 2 other young women, and having her own independence. Her boyfriend came today with his truck, and they carried some of her furniture-y items out. It's nice to see her so bubbly with expectation.

My other granddaughter swung by today to take my great-grandson's Thomas the Tank Engine play table to her home. I know he's going to love it.

Just part of my de-cluttering and simplifying our lives project.

Getting things out of my home that I no longer need here, things I don't use or haven't used in so long that I can obviously live without them. The aim, to minimize the work involved to maintain everything now that I can no longer pull my weight in the caretaking department. Hubby works so much, he doesn't have the time (nor should he have to) come home and try to do all the household chores.

It is humbling when you can no longer stand unaided to sweep a room, or mop a floor. I sit to do things like wash dishes, cook on the stove, pack hubby's lunchbox or while something microwaves. I sit to wipe my kitchen surfaces and stovetop. But there is still so much that I cannot do any more, and thus, I had to make some decisions!

So, today, I called a friend who does house cleaning, and - after my granddaughter is moved out - she is going to come and clean for me once a week. Beginning with what will be a major spring cleaning project and then a weekly maintenance. It's one less stressor that I am removing from our life.

It has made me happy. I see a freer existence for both hubby and myself. He supports me so much. Even as I turn most of my business over to online sales, I do keep some personal customers locally who require personal deliveries. I drive, hubby gets out and does the handovers for me. Likewise I label my AVON brochures, but he is the one who usually stocks them at our local Ingles supermarket and Chinese restaurant. He is my rock, so anything I can do to make both our lives less stressful is good!

And just to show my appreciation, I also booked him for a local "independent brewery" tour this Saturday afternoon, so he can be with a group of other people, learning about each of the 3 breweries they'll visit, and sampling the wares as they go ... in a neat little minibus tour and with snacks as they go along. I try to do things like this for him, to show how much I appreciate all he does for me. We've been together 30 years so it's nice that we still like each other and try to do things for each other.

Have a nice evening, my friends

A beautiful morning!

I love my early mornings. Hate the alarm going off and jarring through my dreams, signalling the beginning of the rush to get hubby fed, his lunchbox packed up for the day, and out the front door to head to work, but, then the rest of the early morning is mine. The stillness. The fresh scent of the dew on the grass, and the mint under my bedroom window, and finally the twittering of the birds as dawn breaks. They really are precious moments and I get some of my best work done during these times, all the while just enjoying the peace and calm.

Today has begun well, following on from news that we learned last night, and that caused us then to rethink some plans of our own.

Our granddaughter, Nicolette, is moving out!  She is excited and it's nice to see her confidence in herself, growing, and see our fledgeling learning to fly by herself. She is going to be moving in with 3 other girls, and closer to Woodruff Rd, where much more "is happening" than in our semi-quiet neck of the woods. It also means new job opportunities, which I am pleased about also, as the more I learn about her current employer's practices, the less I like them. I have an issue with liars and bullies, and when an entity chooses to utilize both in its business model, then that does not bode well for my respect of said employer. I am so glad she will finally be rid of them. They had me fooled for a while, but their recent actions proved how despicable they really are.

Her moving out made us do some rethinking on some aspects of our own lives. My Land Rover, for instance. When she was going to be here with us, we needed to have that 2nd vehicle, in order to have transport to share between the three of us. With her leaving, and me being unable to go anywhere without someone to help me, he and I can make do with the one, and cut our insurance and annual vehicle taxes, down, and our 2017 taxes, by donating it to Goodwill.  Were it more economical on gas, we would give it to Nicolette, like we gave her sister, Angelica, our Jeep a few years back, when she moved out. But maybe by the time her birthday hits, in May, we may be able to come up with something for her car kitty that will help get her closer to owning her own vehicle.

My saying, whenever a need for more money arises, is:

"Gotta sell more AVON!" LOL

It's not that I'm greedy, in any way, I am very content in most areas of my life, and thankful for all my blessings. Just that - between grandkids, great-grandkids and animals - there is always something needing money spending on it, and the easiest way to make that money is with my AVON.

Today is my fortnightly payday, the day that my bonus earnings "come in", and I checked first thing, as always. $378.97 this time. WOOHOO. That helps pay a few more bills! That isn't my commission on my sales, either, this is my bonus for my team's work. I am well blessed with an awesome team, and very thankful to have them. Without them, I would probably need to be on disability, but with them as my friends and partners in our own businesses, despite being in my bed 95% of the time, I can still work and earn an income. As I say over and over, I am well blessed!

Hubby and I played around with a lot of ideas last night, mainly to unencumber ourselves of a lot of the tot we have acquired in 30 years of marriage and our travels around the world. That's our goal in the upcoming weeks and months!

So, today is an awesome new morning, the birds are now outside and twittering gaily as the dawn begins to break, and full of possibilities and things for me to do. I'm going to make the most of it, and I hope you do, too!

Have a wonderful Tuesday, my friends.

Good morning!

Another brand new day and a new week. Lots of possibilities, I wonder where this day and week will take me.

Lots to do - talking to new people, working on this blog, getting my orders together for my AVON submission this Thursday, helping my team members, and networking - as I continue to work my business.

I'm excited about this selection of products that AVON has put together for our 130th anniversary. They make a great gift! They, and many more items are available on my website:  www.youravon.com/rosemarydempsey

The History of AVON

They say "big trees from little acorns grow" and when you look at today's AVON, with over 6 MILLION representatives worldwide, a company that has been a household name since I was a child (that I can attest to), and think that it was the brainchild of one man, a travelling book salesman, whose perfume giveaways proved to be more popular than the literature!

That man was David H. McConnell Sr, and in 1886 the idea, that became The California Perfume Company, took shape.

In those days, very few "decent" women worked outside the home. They were meant to be stay at home mothers and homemakers, and taking care of their husband's every needs when he was home. He gave them a chance to earn some extra money whilst not taking them away from their main role as the mother/homemaker.

The first saleslady with the company was Mrs Persis Foster Eames Albee who is still revered by AVON representatives now.
She has been called "the mother of the California Perfume Company".

AVON is known, around the world, as the company that empowers women.  It has been doing so now for 130 years.

As they proudly state:

95 years before the first female US Supreme Court appointee

77 years before the first female astronaut went to Space

34 years before women earned the right to vote

17 years before the first female Nobel Prize winner

In 1939, David H McConnell Jr changed the name of
The California Perfume Company
to
AVON.
Neither the Depression, nor WWII, could stop the
powerhouse as sales rose through both,
and, in 1946,
AVON became a publicly traded company.

Their advertising over the years promoted home, and glamour.

AVON's advertising was in all the favourite women's magazines

The one above, from the 1950s, and the one below, with Jean Shrimpton who was a famous model in the 1960s

Always at the forefront of women's issues, the AVON Foundation For Women was set up to help improve and save lives, in 1955.

Since 1992, the AVON Breast Cancer Crusade, has been instrumental in raising funds for the fight against that horrible disease. As of 2013, over $815 million had been raised and donated to various programs, associated with that cause.

In 2004, AVON launched their Speak Out Against Domestic Violence initiative. By the end of 2014, over $40 million had been contributed to that cause, in the US alone.

In fact, whenever there are disasters, AVON is one of the first corporate donors and follows that up with fundraising efforts, a few major ones are mentioned here:  http://www.avonfoundation.org/causes/emergency-relief/

Regular Price: $18.00 but now on special for only $7.99 each

Skin So Soft has so any uses, far more than simply moisturizing skin although it does that superbly.

100 Uses For Skin-So-Soft Bath Oil

PERSONAL USES:
1. It's a bath oil and after shower moisturizer.
2. It can be used to remove makeup.
3. Great tanning oil (no sunscreen).
4. Hot oil treatment to soften cuticles.
5. Great massage oil for tired muscles.
6. Cleans off tape marks left from bandages on skin.
7. Cleans ink off the skin.
8. Insect repellent.
9. Helps relieve itching caused by dry skin.
10. Cleans oil and grease off of skin.
11. Painting something? Use Skin-So-Soft to remove paint from the hands. (Instead of turpentine).
12. It soothes light sunburn.
13. Rub hands with it before washing, it helps get them cleaner.
14. Rub on dry, cracked skin....helps heal skin in 2-3 days.
15. Put 1-2 caps full in liquid soap and use it for shaving legs and under arms. Helps razor glide and leaves skin feeling smooth.
16. Pour a little into your Foot Saver to help moisturize your feet while you relax them.
17. It removes chewing gum from hair, skin, and most non-pour us surfaces.
18. Cleans permanent ink off stamps.
19. SSS Original Bath Oil works GREAT on Head Lice!!!!! Saturate head and let it set for 15 minutes. Then rinse under an outdoor faucet, but the lice were gone!!!!!!! Of course shampoo hair a couple of times to get the oil out, but the lice were gone and stayed gone!
20. It kills ants instantly.
21. Spray on skin to relieve dry itching skin. Helps skin retain it's elasticity.
22. Wash hair with shampoo and conditioner like always and after it dries....Use about the size of a dime of SSS and rub it in your hair. It goes straight in and leaves hair as shiny as the ads on TV, not greasy at all, just soft and shiny.
23. Use bath oil towelettes -- cover window sill with towelettes to keep ants out.
24. (LICE) Sometimes, using a bath oil, like Avon's Skin So Soft, will work to loosen the glue which holds the nits to the hair. There is a product called Neon Nits, which when sprayed on the hair, will highlight the nits so you can see them to then snip them out with a small scissors.
25. This is to let you readers known about something that helped me for a mild case of psoriasis on my elbows. My internist recommended that I try Avon's Skin-So-Soft bath oil spray. I did and it eliminated the psoriasis on my elbows.
26. Bath use, fill bath with water and a little skin so soft, very relaxing and gets rid of dry skin.
HOUSEHOLD USES:
27. Sponge it around doors, windows, and on screens to keep crawling bugs out.
28. It's a good wood cleaner and conditioner for natural wood.
29. It removes glue and gum left from price tags and labels from glass, metals, and most plastics.
30. It removes soap scum from shower doors and curtains, and bathroom and kitchen figures.
31. It removes lime and hard water deposits from fixtures, tile, shower doors and windows.
32. It's an oil lubricant for fitting pipe joints that won't slip together.
33. It cleans ink off most vinyl and painted surfaces.
34. It cleans heavy oil and grease from non-porous surfaces.
35. It takes fur off of clothing.
36. Rub on brass ornaments or figurines to help keep them from turning dark.
37. Removes crayon from appliances and most painted surfaces.
38. Wash cupboards with it mixed in your cleaning water to keep ants off and out of the cupboards.
39. Use it to discourage hornets from building their nests. After using a hornet killing spray, remove the nest and keep the area sprayed with SSS. They will not rebuild there.
40. Use it to clean leather, it will also keep it soft and supple.
41. Use it on your air conditioning screen (filter)--your incoming air will smell fresher and the filter is easier to clean.
42. Rub all over window sills to keep ants out
42. Rub all over window sills to keep ants out.
43. It cleans paint brushes easily and leaves them soft as new.
44. It removes gum from carpets.
45. It removes scuff marks from patent leather shoes.
46. Use it on running rails for sliding glass doors and windows.
47. It removes "ring around the collar".
48. It removes liquid nail (paneling glue).
49. Two glass bowls or glasses stuck together? Drizzle a little S.S.S down the sides and they'll come apart easily.
50. It removes candle wax from furniture, carpets and clothing.
51. Hummingbird Feeders: To deter bees try rubbing SSS on the feeder surface by the feeder ports.
52. Maggots too!! You squirted SSS in can and lid, then later flushed with soapy water, you shouldn't have any bugs in cans rest of summer!!!
53. It is a great furniture polish!
54. Ok, we have a new use for SSS bath oil. Put it in one of the bottle that you attach to your backyard hose and then spray down the back yard! Will cut down on ants, mosquitoes and other creepy crawlies.
55. People around the outskirts of Eureka and surrounding areas (and sometimes in town) spray it on their rose bushes to keep the deer from eating them, and at the cemeteries on the flowers they put out there for the same reason.
56. Kills spiders.
57. It cuts grease and cleans dirt from range hoods.
58. Add a capful to wash water of clothes...acts as a fabric softener and keeps the bugs off clothes.
59. Spray on orchids and other flowers for moisture and to keep bugs away.
60. Cleans baseball caps. Just spray on and rub with toothbrush.
61. SSS I used this recipe mix one part SSS and 2 parts water on my tomato plants and kept those ugly old tomato worms off. I think that adding the vinegar would be fine too and would be nice not to have to shake the spray bottle all the time. I sprayed my plants about every 2 or 3 days. Worked grand!! Too late for most this year, but file this for next.
62. SSS bath oil also does a great job cleaning cherry wood cabinets.
63. Put a little in your mopping water to help keep crawling bugs out. (Not too much or the floor gets slippery.)
64. Use to clean windows.
65. Removes crayon from most surfaces.
66. It's a great insect repellent (or you can use Bug Guard, the actual SSS repellent)
67. Screens can be lightly sprayed with Avon "Skin-So-Soft" to repel no-see-'ums and tiny gnats that otherwise might slip though the screens.
68. Another use for SSS is it will **** those pesky earwigs. Spray it on & they don't return to life.
69. Also if you ever make candles, use clear wax and melt put skin so soft in it and harden works great for out side in the summer.
70. As a deodorizer, spray into air and let settle, kills those nasty pet orders.
71. Kids rooms if a child wets the bed, spray the bedding and sheets before washing and will give it a fresh clean smell.
ANIMAL USES:
72. It's a great insect repellent for your pet. (as recommended in "Outdoor Life" and "Field and Stream")
73. Mix 5 parts water, 1 part SSS and mist on animals. Brushing it in makes their coats gleam and keeps insects off so the animals don't fidget in the show ring.
74. Mix in your pet's bath water. It takes the fleas off of them.....and in between spray them with the same mixture as in #2 to help keep them off.
75. Rub on your hands before and after working with your pets and farm animals. It will remove the strong smells.
76. Black Fly Spray For Dogs: Use as a spray or a dip. 1 cup SSS, 1/2 cup liquid detergent and 3 gallons of water.
77. For dog's dry skin mix 1 tablespoon of SSS per gallon of water and use as an after bath rinse. Or spritz your pet's coat once per week.
78. If your dog should get tar or asphalt on the pads of their feet rub on SSS and then wipe off.
79. Flea Bath: Use a flea and tick shampoo. Rinse, rinse, rinse so no soap residue is left. Follow with final rinse of 2 gallons of water mixed with flea dip and 1 capful of SSS. The SSS helps replace the oils lost in bathing and has the added benefit of repelling insects.
80. Flea Repellent: Avon's Skin So Soft Bath Oil. 1-1/2 ounces per gallon of water; used as a sponge-on dip (or as a spritz) has been tested and proven to have significant, but not complete, flea-repellent activity for a 6-day period. It should help those dry coats, too.
81. Does anyone use the Avon Skin So Soft bath oil on their chows? I have begun using it on Chancey and it has done wonders for her skin. Like, many chows, she has very dry and flaky skin, especially for being black. Since I started using that product, her dandruff and itchiness has improved tremendously and her hair has become shiny and smooth. It also serves as a great flea and tick protector. I use it about twice a month and I just spray it on her. I really like it.
82. I use the following on my horses and on my dogs when necessary.
1 cup Avon Skin So Soft bath oil 1 cup white vinegar 1 cup (or more) water 5 cc of essential oil of citronella (from the health food store NOT the type you burn to keep insects away that is available in a drug store) Mix in a spray bottle. Straight SSS works well for mosquitoes too but really makes your dog greasy.
12. (Barns) Use of an inexpensive fly control spray or a diluted mix of Avon Skin- So-Soft in water can be sprayed on barn walls and floor to discourage insects from hanging around or to eliminate them before putting in the new bedding. As time permits, and if you can keep your goats out of the barn for a few hours - let the barn stand and air out before re-filling with bedding.
83. Rub on your hands before and after working with pets and farm animals, takes away pet odor.
84. AVON'S SKIN-SO-SOFT bath oil massaged directly into the skin of your Rottweiler acts not only as a successful repellant and makes their dogs smell good but helps prevent drying and itchy skin.
85. A natural way to help cats with flea problems and flea allergies is to rub Skin So Soft into the skin. Once a bug, always a bug. Fleas don't like it either! Spread the word!
86. Cats: SSS IS SAFE FOR FUR LICKING -------The SSS plus is safe as long as it is the one without sunscreen.
87. Don't overuse the SSS. I just use the lotion, and rub it into the skin, not more than every few days. My cat's sensitive and we're being careful. Common sense is the rule. Sprinkling Yeast on the cat food helps, too. My cat's fur is medium-length; he's part Persian, and he's doing fine, no ill effects from the SSS. You can check with your vet to be sure if it's okay...
88. SSS can be used as a hoof polish. This will put a nice shine to the hoof without drying it. The farrier's wife will appreciate this one!
89. SSS can be used as a muzzle, eye, a
SKIN-SO-SOFT USES FOR HORSES :
nd ear enhancer. Generally we used baby oil but it was so messy. I tried SSS and it works great and still helps keep bugs away.
90. I have a show mare that has allergies and also gets dry skin very easily so I started giving her baths in SSS. What I do is bathe her like normal and then I put a capful of SSS in a 5 gallon bucket of warm water and sponge this all over her. Her hair coat dries silky soft and she quits itching. Works for her.
91. The bug guard towellettes we had last summer work great on the horse's ears and around their eyes.
92. When I have to band (braid) their manes I use the Techniques Oil Sheen. It seems to help hold the braids a lot better and they don't try to rub them out.
93. The dry end serum works great in their tails as a detangler. Everything I have mentioned here I use faithfully on our show horses. The products are a heck of a lot cheaper than actual horse products. People see me using these products at the horse shows and start inquiring about them. I usually let them take my bottles and try them on their horses at the show which usually ends up in a sale for me.

AUTOMOBILE USES:
94. It removes tar spots from the car without damage to the paint.
95. Use it to clean vinyl dashboards, seats, and tops. It not only cleans, but keeps it soft and helps to prevent any cracking.
96. After washing your car, use it as a tire dressing to keep them looking like new.
97. Put some on a small washcloth and leave in the car to help keep the air fresh and
clean.
98. Wipe down vinyl surfaces inside your car. Cleans nicely and removes smoke odors left by cigarette smokers.
99. It gently cleans heavy grease and oil from skin and non-porous surfaces (great for Mechanic's Hands).
100. It removes tree sap.
101. Prior to traveling...rub SSS on headlights and grill. It makes insects and bugs easier to remove.
102. Shines vehicle tires
103. Open a towelette and use as an automotive air freshener.

*Skin-So-Soft bath oil is approved by the FDA/CDA only as a bath oil. This list of uses comes from customers. Avon makes no claims of these uses, nor have they.

Well, as I start to broaden my horizons, and attempt to set up a site for all things AVON, I knew that my non-techy self would get into trouble, and sure enough, it didn't take long at all.

My darlin' team member, Caroline, even did a video to help me, showing me how to link to my new domain name ... the only problem was, blogger didn't want to recognise my domain name. Ha! Could not verify it was mine! Then the lie began ... the "simple procedure" to go through, to verify it. Ha! Simple! Maybe to somebody whose brain could read the instructions and comprehend them (like, at one time, I could probably have done) BUT, now that my brain dances to the beat of its own drum, it was DEFINITELY NOT SIMPLE!

So, I ended up over at godaddy.com, trying to find the info blogger wanted, which would probably be fun in itself for someone who had an inkling of what they were doing ... but for somebody like me, it was NOT happening.

I needed help, so I clicked on the chat button and got an awesome guy called Shane, who quickly realised he was talking to dumb and dumber all rolled into one! He told me to click on a gear icon ... yeah, ok, I would have EXCEPT, I had just 3 square boxes on the screen in front of me and NONE of them had anything remotely like a gear looking icon on it. I think, at that time, he probably knew his times for his customer interactions were about to take a nosedive. I felt bad for him, but he was brilliant and walked me through what SHOULD have done what needed doing, but DIDN'T, and then helped me get it sorted out a different way.

I didn't want him penalized for having had to deal with me, so asked if there was any way I could let his supervisor or somebody know how great he'd been. He gave me a website where I could write a kudos, and also told me that a survey would pop up at the end of our chat, and that he appreciated me wanting to do that. I appreciated his patience working with me to help me get this blog linked to my new domain name.

So, I have the blog linked to the domain name. Hey, that's good! Still no idea how to turn the blog into a website but my trusty Caroline will be holding my hand again and taking pity on her poor decrepit upline!

Glorious Day

Spring has really decided to give us here, in "sunny" SC, a hint of what is to come, these past couple of days. The weather has been gorgeous! Time to make memories with loved ones and enjoy time together.

Spring is a fun time to be working my AVON business too, so many bright and wonderful items in our brochures, from fashions in our regular one and mark. magalog to all kinds of play, decor and entertaining ones in the Living magalog. So much to share!

My team members are enjoying it too! My 3 newest joiners are rocking their businesses, finding how much fun selling can be (and how easily AVON sells!) and beginning to build their own teams. It's exciting watching people blossom and realise success, especially those who have tried other opportunities and found them not to live up to expectations. It's fun getting texts and private messages on Facebook - "I got another online order", "did you see how much commission I got?", "I can't believe this is so easy, I wish I'd started sooner".

I've been with AVON now for 9 years, and I have said, so many times, "I wish I had started sooner!" Why?  Because I would be that much farther along, working towards my dreams. I'm just glad I DID make that leap of faith when I was offered it, like many others AVON had always been around so it was kind of invisible as an opportunity. The idea of selling make up, to somebody who doesn't wear it, seemed a bit ludicrous. Surely you have to use something in order to sell it? AVON isn't just make up though. I'd used Oil of Olay for a couple of decades but tried Anew Ultimate, loved it, and switched. I love "to smell nice" so I'd always been a  big spender on fragrances when I'd been an AVON customer, it was great to get a discount on them by buying from myself. 40%!!! So, my monthly $40-$50 perfume spend became $24-$30 ... oh yes, I liked that! I started buying my clothes from AVON, my shoes, gold and silver jewelry, and I realised, this company had so much more to offer than "just make up".

I'm very proud of their "empowering women" premise too. Being disabled, many things are beyond me now, yet I can still be successful, still produce as they say, and still earn awards. That makes me feel good!  So does helping pay the household bills, which my bonus does, every 2 weeks.

My husband lost his mother when he was only 12 to breast cancer, so their Breast Cancer Crusade is a cause very dear to our hearts, as is the Domestic Violence Awareness, to me. I was a victim of domestic violence for 5 years in the 1970s, before there were ANY protections under the law, with my first husband. Thankfully that is long ago, and Mark and I have been married now for 30 years!

He helps me with the physical side of it all, I drive to make deliveries and he gets out and actually does the handover to my customers. He loads the car, he fetches and carries for me. I hate being so physically incapable now, but am very thankful to have him. I don't know what I'd do without him! Plus he always makes me laugh, which is always a good thing!

If you have any questions about AVON, feel free to ask. I'm always happy to answer! If you know you'd like to join me, simply go to www.startavon.com and use my reference code: rosemarydempsey where it asks about referrer. In 5-10 minutes you will be an active representative with 2 websites and open for business! And fun!

Have an awesome day.

This year is already whizzing by!  March has pushed its way in, edging out most of the wintry weather and giving us a glimpse of Spring. The last 2 days have been gorgeous, bright and sunny, and I've been able to have doors and windows open letting all that fresh air, in.

February was a great month for my businesses.

In AVON, I added new team members and helped them get started, 3 immediately started rocking it and earning extras, plus a total of 15 team members utilized their online store for additional sales.

With WATKINS I got some new customers and had $166 in sales. Not quite the $250 goal that I had set myself, but not to be scoffed at either. I also had another friend join me. Slow and steady, I'll win this race!

This month, I have new goals and one is to start a specific blog and website for my AVON business, so I am beginning to work on that today. Not being particularly techy, it is a major "thing" for me, and a frustration when things do not work as I want them to!

Have an awesome day!
