Welcome To A New Month! And Other AVON Stuff ...
Well, as many of you know, January was a bust for me, due to ill health so February became my "get it together and get this show on the road again" month. It, too, has ended with me under the weather, as my hubby decided to bring home yet another cold from work! Nonetheless, February was a decent month for me and Campaign 6 has been very good so far. It doesn't end until next Tuesday, so I am hoping that it will also provide me with a good start for this month.
I'm excited about a lot of new products that AVON has recently introduced, or plans on launching in the next few weeks.
The Anew Ultimate Supreme Dual Elixir is the latest skin care product to end up on my fave list, and I love everything about it. The fragrance is unobtrusive, I love the way it feels on my skin, how it soaks in so easily and nourishes and moisturizes, leaving it soft and definitely younger looking.
I'm 63, so my skin has been protecting my body now for over 6 decades. For people to comment on how nice it looks (I don't wear make up, so it's kind of "what you see is what there is") is definitely a testimony to the care I give it, and for about the last decade, that has all been Anew products.
I have a full shelf of everything I use, and I am a "mixer".
Take our Anew Vitamin C Brightening Serum. I have very sensitive skin, and this product is too strong for my face, when used alone. However, I mix 1 pump of this with my moisturizer of the day, and that works for me. It mixes well, I have mixed it with Anew Platinum Night Cream, Anew Ultimate Supreme Advanced Formula Creme, Anew Platinum Firm and Sculpt Cream for Neck and Chest, and Anew Ultimate Multi-Performance Day Cream.
Another of our products that I mix, is the Anew Skinvincible Day Lotion, with the SPF 50. Having fair and sensitive skin, Summer and the sun can cause me lots of issues. So I mix this lotion with my daytime moisturizer to protect against the sun's rays for the short periods that I am out in it.
It's not just for my face and neck that I mix, either.
Our skin is a very hard working organ, so my all over skin care is important to me as well. My favourite shower product is the Skin So Soft Original Oil-Infused Foaming Body Wash. It has sunflower seed and jojoba oils, plus Vitamin E which gently cleans and moisturizes at the same time. It's my first level of moisturizing all over.
Then comes my "mix" for my body. I take a pump or 2 of the Vitamin C lotion, some of my Senses body lotion (I have a few different fragrances, my current lotion du jour is the Senses Sparkling Starfruit and Coconut Body lotion)
and a squirt of Skin So Soft Original Gelled Body Oil, and I combine them and use for my arms, legs, torso and feet.
The nurse who takes my blood at our local doctor always comments on how soft and smooth my skin feels (she's a Mary kay rep!) and I tell her why.
The skin is our largest organ and protects everything inside our bodies from the germs and bacteria outside. Doesn't it deserve us taking care of it as a precious commodity?
I'm excited about some news I heard yesterday about a new addition (or maybe more than one ??? ) to our Vitamin C range coming soon and I can't wait to get my own sneak peek when I can order demos.
I grew up using Pear's Soap, and then began using Oil of Olay in my 20s. When I joined AVON in 2006, I was still using just those products. I honestly didn't expect to use anything else, but once I started sampling AVON's Anew products, I became hooked and have been ever since.
It has surprised me - over the years - to see AVON release a new product or concept, and then ( a few months later) I see television ads for a similar product marketed by other companies ... and they package them to look similar to AVON. It reminds me of a saying from my childhood "copying is the best form of flattery". I guess it's true, since they can't BE AVON, they do their best to emulate our products.
