A brand new week!

Good morning, my friends, and another new week is upon us, and full of possibilities, of successes as yet unknown, of challenges to face and overcome. Every new week, is a fresh beginning. It's a time when we can leave the past and any "failures" we have credited ourselves with, and move on. We cannot change anything that has already happened, but we can approach upcoming goals with gusto, and work them to our best ability.

This is not just a business philosophy, but works well in life too. Other than toxic relationships, a policy of forgiving and moving on, from old arguments or events, is just so freeing. All the anger and hurt can just be channelled elsewhere, into good things.

Gearing Up For September's Launch

Well, it's a beautiful Thursday morning here in "sunny SC" and I'm off to a great start again! 

It's been a busy week. Most of you know that AVON changed ownership in the US a few months ago. It became New AVON LLC, and independent of the parent company. The changeover was not entirely without glitches but when you consider that everything on the website had to be redone to be hosted on a new server, page urls and pointers changed, for every page and ever representative, then you begin to grasp the enormity of the situation and understand why it was not without incident.

Yes we had delays on pages loading, the site was "down for maintenance" on and off, seemingly every day. It was frustrating for both representatives and customers, but when you called for assistance, the AVON customer assistance operators were always there, ready to help, or just let you know the updates on outages and such, and the tech department worked tirelessly to get everything transferred over to the new.

Kudos to them all. They did an awesome job, and now our sites seems to be back on track!

Well, the company has also been re-vamping our incentive programs and they'll be launching those September 16th. From that day, ALL AVON enrollments will be done online at www.startavon.com using the code of the referring representative. I will be updating my Sell AVON and Join AVON Today pages on this site to reflect that change, before then, but I am in the process now of collating all my Team Leaders referral codes so I have them all ready for the edit! 

Part of the upcoming incentive is a fresh new Kick Start program for new representatives, geared towards leading them to achieving a $1000 bonus within their first 90 days. That's the "big picture" for them, and there are smaller rewards along the way, to encourage the progression of building their business.

For Team Leaders and mentors, there are rewards for rising up the Leadership ladder, 

and my goal is to help my Leaders achieve their next level within 90 days and earn their bonus before Christmas.

I'm excited. I've always loved helping people, and I look at my success, and what AVON has allowed me to achieve and I know, if I can do this, anyone can. 

So, I have a lot of work to do before the 16th of September, and have been working on it all week, giving myself a "good" headache, if that's even possible, but just where I am trying to keep track of what, where, who and how! It's fun, and I am focused, but this week has just whizzed by and I still have so much to flesh out.

One of my team leaders is awesome with IT projects and multimedia. My old brain just acts like Eeyore, when it comes to needing to learn new tricks, and refuses to help me! Caroline is brilliant. She is the lady who makes my Campaign videos for youtube, so I paid her to come up with a quick video (it's about a minute and a half) showing what we are offering, so that all of our team members can use it as part of their advertising. It is excellent,  very on point but easy on the eye.

Local managers will be out in the field the week of the 16th, doing events with local representatives, and I am encouraging my team members to take part if they are able.

I have so many plans needing to be honed to perfection, so that my team gets the most benefit from their efforts, but I honestly do love what I do. I am excited!

Good morning!!! It's beautiful here as dawn is breaking, comfortably cool, and I'm enjoying the quiet of the morning. I have another busy day ahead of me, so I like this time when I can set my thoughts in order, and make my plans for what I need to do, and how I'll do them.

With AVON's emergence as New AVON LLC, we have been going through some changes. The website changeover was a difficult process, and there were many glitches, but the company worked tirelessly to get everything working correctly, and now we seem to be back on an even keel. It's a credit to the company that they went out of their way to apologise to reps and offer appeasements along the way, to offset the disruptions that we representatives were having to deal with, as we strived to run our businesses. It's easy to speak well of a company when everything is going well and running smoothly, harder when there are daily challenges in working your business due to site issues and outages. AVON just kept on ironing out the issues, and supported representatives with allowances to offset them. It was frustrating, but the company just kept on going, working diligently to get everything working correctly.

They are now rolling out a new incentive for people enrolling with AVON, to put more money in their pockets in their first 90 day (including the ability to earn a $1000 bonus in that time) as well as awesome bonuses on titling levels, which apply to all representatives.

With all the changeovers, I am trying to learn all the details so that I can help my team understand them. So far, in what I've seen, I am excited and think they will be too. I love helping people, and I know so many of my team members so well, we are like family. I know that many don't just want an extra income, they need the opportunity that AVON offers, just as I do. 

When I was younger and without health issues, I could just pick up a job easily, when I needed extra money. I wasn't picky, my family came first. My hubby was in the Air Force and money was tight. I've done so many things, fast food, working in the laundry of a care home, worked as a CNA, along with my major passion of early childhood education, which I did as a babysitter, nanny and home day care provider for many years.

Sadly, my arthritis issues eventually made my mobility a big problem, and in 2006 I was told I'd be in a wheelchair in 2 years - I made it through to 2014 before that actually became a reality along with using a Zimmer frame for walking short distances indoors. I knew back in 2006 that I needed to find something I could do, in my own time, around the "bad days" that were ever increasing.

AVON has been that rock this past decade. It has given me a paycheck, and "now money" that has paid off a vehicle, bought a cabin, paid for my motorized scooter (the one in my profile pic), treats like going to a concert or theater show, and now helps pay bills every month. It has really been a blessing to me, but more to the point, I can use MY success to encourage others, because, to be honest, if I can do this -working from my bed every day - then there is no reason that an able-bodied person shouldn't be able to do so. I am sooo good at brainstorming with them on things that they can do to build their business, funnily enough because when I am doing things and get frustrated by what I CAN'T do, it gives me the ideas that they can try!

Enjoying my Sunday

Hubby and I had a lie-in this morning, since it is his only day off this week. It made for a nice start to the day, just letting our bodies wake up when they are ready to. And it's such a gorgeous day today, not too hot, a nice gentle breeze blowing and we were able to have the windows open and the ac off this morning. 

Yesterday, I learned about all the changes continuing to come to AVON since our American entity became a whole new separate company. It's exciting to be a part of the old and then help bring in the new. I shared some with my Leadership team members yesterday, and as I learn more, will expound on everything with them. It's given me a lot to think about, new goals to make and new things to learn. 

I am always thankful for all that AVON has helped me to do, and am well blessed with the rewards I have earned with them, and that they now help me pay my household bills every 2 weeks. Being disabled, I can't just go out and "pick up" a job, like I was able to in decades past. I am quite chuffed in that my AVON money helps support my family and means that I do not need to claim disability. It is such a blessing not to have lost my financial independence with the loss of my physical mobility.

It's Friday ... Again!

It really seems to me that the weeks now whizz by. I guess it's true what they say regarding the older you get, the quicker time seems to pass! It's already Friday ... AGAIN!!!

Wednesday was my wedding anniversary, 31 years! Hubby took the day off work and we spent it together. It was a nice day. We just hung out, and had Chinese for lunch, the simple things just made for a lovely time.
