Indulge Your Senses

When I was younger, and could still get into a bathtub (so before I became disabled) I used to love my bath times.  

Back then, in the 90s, we had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and I would go in there every evening, leave the light off, light scented candles, play soft music and relax in a scented oil bubble bath. I have definitely missed the luxury of soaking myself in the bathtub I'm just letting my cast float away with soft music and gentle fragrances surrounding me. 

But now, no more. AVON has introduced Gratitude Senses Lavender and Cedarwood Shower Steamers.

I can sit on the seat in my shower, with one of these up on my rack, and the steam activates the fragrance in them, and I can just indulge myself sitting there and surround myself with the fragrance. Aromatherapy has been used for centuries and is the practice of using essential oils for therapeutic benefit. many people find lavender oil relaxing, it is often used to relieve stress and promote good sleep. Cedarwood is also purported to relieve stress and ease tension to allow the body to rest.

I love the Fresh Fiji Lavender Pillow Spray,

but must admit that I not only use it on my pillows but on my curtains the shower curtain outside, my couches, I even spray my outdoor jackets when I have them hanging. I just love the all over gentle fresh scent and the calming atmosphere that it seems to bring.

I have always preferred natural remedies to pharmaceutical ones.

A Sneek Peek at Spring! First - Nails

I am so excited at what AVON will be introducing in about four weeks. For so long customers have bemoaned the loss of nail lacquer and now I can let you know that AVON is bringing it back, and it's vegan too. Your at home manicures with AVON can begin again! New Year, New Beginnings

Yes, I know many of you are disappointed with your end of year sales, but having been a rep now for 16 years, I have learned that the last campaign of every year is basically very slow. Most people have already bought their gifts beforehand, in a mad rush at the beginning of December, and a lot of times the shipping for the last campaign is awkward to gauge getting it before Christmas.

I want you to take the time to look at your business, look at your strengths and your weaknesses, and pat yourself on the back for the things you do well. Too often it is easy to get depressed over low sales, or to compare yourself to others, and think yourself somehow less worthwhile. You are not. You are just as important as anyone else, and I want you to think that always. We all struggle for sales at different times. The past two years have been the most difficult for many of us, I have lost a few older customers who passed away, and my physical disabilities preclude me from doing the events or going out canvassing like I used to do when I was able. I refuse to be defeated. AVON has been a part of my life now ever since I got disabled in 2006 and it has been the reason why I have never claimed disability benefits, it has provided for me a decent income over the years. 

And yes, the past two years have been very difficult, and my income dropped somewhat disastrously in that time. But just like Molly says, I keep on keeping on, I do not let it stop me, I do not quit my business, I just keep plugging away.

I am one of those people who remakes my goals every week, Mondays are always a fresh start for me. A chance to do things that I could not do the week before, to redo things that worked, and to try to move forward and succeed in the tasks that I set myself. At this time of year, many people make resolutions to improve their lives, and it is a good time to plan the ways to improve your business.

Whether you are a new representative, or have been doing this awhile, January is a good time to get fired up. Revamp your business.

My first suggestion is always the AVON U ... there are courses on product knowledge, starting and working your business and many more. You can pick and choose those you feel will be most advantageous to you. not only will you be learning though, you will be earning points that can be  exchanged for rewards.

Secondly networking ... with friends and other business people. Grow your circle. Get to know people and build relationships. When you build relationships, then when people want to buy something that you sell they will choose to buy from you.

if you are comfortable in front of a video camera, then consider becoming an influencer and post videos on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tik Tok and other social media sites. We have had quite a few queens of AVON who used that resource and used it well.
